Outdoor Learning Day
On Thursday 15th October, we will be having an Outdoor Learning Day at Sopley Primary School!
We will be having an Outdoor Learning Day at Sopley Primary School, during which all of the pupils across the school will take part in outdoor and forest learning activities. To ensure that this complies with our COVID-19 risk assessment we will stay in our current bubbles. The theme for the day is Kindness with all of the activities centred on how we can be kind to the environment around us, whilst being kind to one another.
We aim for your child to spend the WHOLE day outside so to ensure that they do not become wet or cold it is crucial that you send them to school in warm clothing such as a tracksuit or thick leggings, with lots of layers. The children MUST have a waterproof coat and if possible waterproof trousers and wellington boots/walking boots.
The activities include;
- Looking after the school grounds and preparing them for the forthcoming winter.
- Team building and collaboration activities.
- Creating habitats for the local wildlife.
- Monitoring the wildlife in and around our school.
